![]() As if the moment someone identifies you as “Cis” you lose the right to have an opinion, express your POV, essentially you are denied your voice. It’s just another way to point to a person’s supposed privilege. As another person commented, it is rarely used as a non-pejorative in our society. It was mostly imposed upon non-trans people *by* Trans and Non-Binary folks. ![]() There wasn’t a moment where the majority of said people embraced the term as a self identifier. My problem is that people who are non-trans didn’t adopt the word or any derivative of it to represent themselves. As a medical term that supposedly became popular in the 90s I guess it has a place when differentiating between trans and non-trans. While I don’t agree with this nonsense, which probably was created by some LGBTQ troll for kicks, I also don’t like the term cisgender nor do I like being called that.
